Portfolio Award Information
2017 Portfolio Award Winners

Winning portfolios will be on display inside the lobby of the Old State Capitol May 20-21, 2017.
WHO MAY ENTER:
Qualifying students must be a Spring 2017 graduate of any Sangamon County High School. The student does not need to be pursuing a career/education in the arts to qualify.
WHAT MUST BE ENTERED:
The student must submit an art portfolio that includes a minimum of three pieces and a maximum of four pieces. The artwork must be ORIGINAL, and can be of any size, medium, subject matter, 2-D or 3-D. You may mix mediums within the portfolio. The student must also complete and submit an application prior to their art portfolio submission. LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER STUDENT.
WHEN AND WHERE TO ENTER:
Mailed or emailed applications must be received by Monday, May 15, 2017. Portfolios must be received at the Hoogland Center for the Arts (420 S. 6th Street, Springfield, IL) by Friday, May 19, 2017 during the following time table:
3:30 pm: Portfolio Delivery and Display
4:00 pm: Doors Close
4:30 pm: Judging Begins
5:30-6:00 pm: Students Pick Up Portfolios
SOCAF is not responsible for unclaimed artwork.

A total of six awards will be awarded for $600 each. The awards and checks will be presented during the student awards ceremony on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 10 a.m. in front of the Old State Capitol. Award winners will receive further instructions at the portfolio pick up.
HOW TO PICK UP WINNING PORTFOLIOS:
Please pick up winning artwork at the Old State Capitol on Sunday, May 21, 2017, between 2:30-3:00 p.m. SOCAF is not responsible for unclaimed artwork.
